refugium question
I have had my refug up for about a month. The 3 types of algae seem to be doing well but there is a lot of brown slime growing in it. There is none growing in the main tank.
Is this a lighting issue. I put a grow light over it for the plants. Also should I fasten the plants to the bottom or just let them float in there?

Let the plants float free, the caulerpa will find a way to attach. Chaeto wont attach, it usually just stays in a ball and rolls around in mine.HTH. |

I agree with Charlie It could be a mini cycle.
Your macro will attach to substrate or LR soon. Martin
