I currently have a U tube overflow box that I believe takes way too much room in the take. I've been looking at the CPR for two reasons
1. This room it takes is less than the traditional box 2. I've been losing siphon due to air bubble Im aware that i could upgrade my pump but I believe that getting the cpr would solve both my problems. HAS ANYONE HAVE EXPIERENCE/PROBLEMS WITH THE CPR OVERFLOW BOX? thanks for your reply. |

Got 2 of 'em, as long as you get the Aqua-Lifter pump with them, they are working just fine. The one on the 80 is going on 5 years.

I've only used U-Tube overflow boxes, but gotta say they work great provided you have adequate water moving threw it. Not enough flow and it will accumulate bubbles and break the syphon. I've never had a problem with mine in the couple of years i've been using them.
What I don't like about the CPR ones is the need for a pump to keep air out. If that pump fails, your screwed. I've read about it too many times I wonder why they still sell them and people buy them. |

I think #2 is the most important thing with cpr overflows. They get slammed becuase people don't follow the directions. |

I have a U tube but often breaks siphon bc of bubbles. the box is huge inside of the tank. I think i could use the room inside of the tank. WHAT STORIES OF THE PUMPS FAILING AND WHY? IF ANY?

Anyone ever just "double" U tube an overflow made for one? I may switch to a CPR style just to get more flow... I think I'm maxed out at about 500-600 now.
