SeaClone Skimmer

The only skimmer the LFS has in stock is a SeaClone hang on the back. Is this not a good skimmer?

Hi joecon,

Not it is not the most efficient and at a LFS price, not the best deal. Take a browse through our Sponsors page and look for some HOT skimmers, Remora's are really good and some people recommend the BakPak, depending on teh tank size.

joecon,

As Scott has mentioned there are much better skimmers out there. Remember, a skimmer is one of the most important pieces of equipment on your system so don't buy a "cheap" one. What size tank are you planning to use it on? This will ultimately narrow down your selection. I am using a Remora hang on for my heavily stocked 25 gallon tank and it works well. http://www.proteinskimmer.com/ I started with a Seaclone and it was willfully inadaquite. Hope that helped......
