Recommendations for 240 FOWLR

I'm looking into setting up a 240 FOWLR tank. What type of lighting system would i need so i could keep LR happy and keep limited soft corals in the furture should i decide to do so. The tank is 96x25x25.

With a long tank like this do i need lighting across the entire length of the top? If not what would work?

If your interested in optimizing fish appearance and keeping some low light corals down the road I would look into a nice 4 bulb VHO kit. You could stagger the 6' bulbs to ensure coverage over the entire length although the ends of the tank would be slightly dimmer. A 4 bulb kit would provide ample lighting for some soft and even hard corals.

This might be a stupid question but would it also be suitable for some anemones?

With a tank that long will the end be dark?

Yes with running 4 vho's you should be able to keep almost any softie or LPs coral. Also make sure you build your rock wall at least 1/2 way or 3/4 way in spots to ensure happy corals if you decide to go that way. This will also let you keep a good assortment of fish that like to hide in caves and give them there own rooms or space to sleep in at night.

The ends would be a little darker with a staggered 4 bulb kit but it wouldn't be too bad. As for it being enough light for an Anemone, I think I would steer away from one unless I had MH.
