Tank color
I've noticed people either painting or suggesting to others that you paint the back and sides of your tank black or blue. Is this purely for aesthetic reasons or does it serve a true purpose?
Thanks ~~ Rachel |

it mainly shows with the black a dark background that the fish cant see though, the blue shows a perspective of the ocean color it self..... I am really not too sure.

The functional purpose is to remove from view any plumbing or wires that may be running behind the tank. There is also the aethetic side since it adds a sense of depth in the display.
