    Upgrade to a bigger tank?

    Hello,
I am need of some advice. I currently have a 12gallon tank with about 15 pounds of live rock which came with a few hitch hikers (feather dusters, sponge, xmas tree worm), two damsels, a lawnmower blenny, and two hermit crabs. The tank has been up and running for about 6 months now and is doing really well. However, I got some advice that the blenny should be removed because he will eventually starve to death or outgrow the tank. The problem is, I love the little guy but don't want to see that happen to him. I am thinking I should just upgrade to a 30 or 55 gallon. This way I can keep my fish and maybe add a couple more along with some corals and other fun stuff that.

Any thoughts. Is a bigger tank the smarter choice for my wants and needs?

Yes i would go bigger, depending on $$$ and space availble i would go with probley a 40gallon or a 55 I like the 40 more because they are wider and will give you good depth perseption.

Hey thanks for the advice. I will take a look at 40 gallons and see what is out there!

    Hi Tina
An upgrade my be a great idea but in the meantime Lawnmower Blennies are easily trained to eat Nori-dried seaweed. You can get the dried sheets of nori at oriental markets or the international food sections of many grocery stores. Just look for roasted sushi nori with no flavorings. Try rubberbanding it to a rock till he gets the idea, it only took a couple days for mine to start eating it. After they start you can put it in a food clip. It's also great food for any algea eating fish.

Thanks DlBerlin for the advice. I actually tried that and he really doesn't like it too much. However, he likes the algae tablets (not sure if they are appropriate) and Spirulina pellets. He eats all the time so I think he will make until I get the bigger tank...
