Ph monitor fell in sump

I guess it fell in there when I was workin around the tank sometime today...anyway I rinsed it out with FW and it's sitting in the sun to dry. Anyone have any advice as to what I might do to make ensure that it works again? I've had cell phones that worked after drying out but never something that's been submersed in salt water.

Man that stinks. I think you'll be fortunate if it turns back on, we know what a little saltwater can do on metal. I am sure some of the electronics inside will suffer.

Good Luck,

I think Scott is right though. You may want to look for an electronics parts cleaner to spray on... Kinda like brake disc cleaner, but for ELECTRONICS! LOL But it sounds like it was in there a while, you will have to play LOtto if it comes back on, since it is definately a LUCKY DAY.

Man that sucks....I just got my replacement probe in not 2 days before this. Atleast I got reassured for 2 days that my ph hasn't been bad or anything.
