Two Overflow Boxes

I'm experimenting with flow at the moment. Right now I have 2 pumps in the sump and two overflow boxes. Everything is flowing nicely, but one of the overflow boxes has bubbles in it. When the water flows into the box, it looks all bubbly, The other one has no bubbles. Both are set at the same height and seem to be flowing equally. Anyone want to venture a guess as to why one would have visible bubbles whole the other doesn't? It seems like if I get too many bubbles, the siphon could break. Am I wrong?

I don't think you'd have any trouble with the siphon completely breaking unless there wasn't enough flow to operate the both. My assumption is with a higher rated return pump you would not get as many bubbles.

there is not enough flow to keep both overflows full. The one without the bubbles is the one with most of the flow.

I had to have the two overflows on the same side because of space. I had em too close together. I spread em apart and they are both flowing much better and I'm breathing easier.
