Skimmer rotation and another question
Anthony Calfo mentions in his book that different skimmers pull out different things from the water. Since I have 3 different skimmers should I be rotating them around between my systems or is this more trouble than it's worth? Also do any of you have your overflow plumbed into the intake of your skimmers pump?

Moving skimmers around sounds like too much trouble to me. I believe Anthony was referring to using two slightly smaller skimmers instead of one big unit. And, then utilizing two different technologies such as one downdraft with one needle wheel.

Seems like a lot of trouble to me too. I can see the benefit of different removal rates from different types of skimmers but see no need to rotate different skimmers on a system.
