Adding live rock to established tank

How much can/should I add at any one time?

Fresh?

Cured?

Semi-cured?

I would only add cured live rock to an established tank... if it truly is cured, there shouldn't be a problem... The uncured/partially cured could cause a serious nitrogen spike that would cause LOTS of problems.

Hmmm... now that the tank is full, I could convert the pool to saltwater...

I never add rock to my tank unless I cure it myself, no matter where I get it. All you need is a rubber made container, powerhead and a heater. Running some lights a few hours a day would be a plus. The cheap\famous "Lights Of America" fixture would be fine for anything that come on LR.

A Diffrence Of Opinion

If You Have A Large Tank And Want To Add A Small Amount Of Rock To Your Tank Go For It. Rember That It Will Be An Additional Bio Load While Curing And Might Bring In Some Little Critters That You Might Or Mightnot Want. If You Have A Heavy Bio Load Already This Might Not Be The Best Idea.
