Could I just substitute my penguin filter 350 for a Corallife super skimmer? I wouldn't mind the extra cleaning if I had two skimmers because I would no my water is just that more cleaner.

Some people actually recommend running two skimmers. The redundancy is good and if your running different brands/types, you might pull out more contaminants.

do a search of the forum using skimmer as the key word and you will spend hours reading opinions on good skimmers:slap:

Well just to let you guys know, I got the Coralife Super Skimmer Needle Wheel Protein SKimmer. I have that along with my Red Sea Prizm Deluxe Skimmer so I have two skimmers working side by side. Do you guys think thats a lot better. The Red Sea Prizm Deluxe goes up to 100 gallons and the Coralife Super skimmer goes up to 65 gallons.

Tell me what you think.

I run two skimmers on my 120 FOWLR. One in sump, and the other AquaC Remora Pro HOB. The two of them together kick some serious organic butt. I do think you can over skim, however with the bio-load I have that is not a problem.

Yeah you probably could over skim but I would rather over skim than under. Plus I will have a good amount of bio load so it should be fine as long as I do my water changes. N, I need to get that base rock. Put it in you 800 for a little bit so it can start to become live.
