Well the wife is putting the "kabash" sp? on my 96x24x25 setup. Which in all reality is a bit to long for my space. As I stated earlier I could fit up to 7' with out much issue, so I need to stay at 84" or 72". As no one really makes a 84" it will probrably be a 72", so I am back at teh 180 or 210..

Kills me that the 96" is only 50 bucks more... LOL

Scott you may get me to buy a 180 yet... LOL

Might try the custom size for 84" length.

Inter American. It is a custom tank builder in Canada.

Scott,

I took your advice and ask for a quote for the 84" and GC's says its no problem and will do it for the same cost.

So it looks like im going to get the best of both worlds... long like I want and low like a 180 which is GREAT....

If my calculation are correct it should come out to be about 218 Gallons.. got a few more questions to ask about the overflow, but I think im about ready to order.

We laid out the big tank at work today, I will start a new thread on that one.. it should be pretty sweet!!!!

Make sure to plan for heat and humidity that the tank will add to your house. Ideally a direct vent to the outside!

Well my 90 evap's about 3 gallons a day now, so a 218 with sump should do about 5 gallons at least. You are going to HAVE to plan for that. I would skip the hood, you will need the evap to cool it! Plus the gas exchange...

Hmmm.. my 75 does about 3/4 of a gallon a day.... of course, you're farther north, you may not keep the a/c on all year long...

I WISH! Actually my last power/gas bill went like this: Electric $115. Gas $235.00!!! The only thing that runs on gas is my Furnace, and stove! We eat out alot too, so it is NOT the stove!

Could have something to do with this too:

THat is 9 fans, 5 in 4 out!
