Steven Pro, my g3 leaks, it is in sump so it is not an issue, I have alos read that lots of other asm owners have the same problem the asm is deffinately an in sump skimmer. It works great but you will get a salt line down the body of the reaction chamber.

Deltec, ouch, with the money you spend on the deltec you could have bought yourself a new car.

Vtec, you will have to make a decision as to how much $$$ you are willing to part with, the deltec is a good skimmer with great customer support, I have read many many great things about them but you pay for it. if you want a beckett skimmer there are tons of options, much like the needle wheels, but the becketts seem to have more foam production, just my observation. there is MRC, Trigger, Barr, PM, and many more that I have yet to find I am sure. I too am tired of the water level issues and the venturi cleaning, that is why I am looking in to a beckett as well.

Scott at www.aquariumspecialty.com is building a beckett skimmer for me right now. his stuff is similar to MRC, with a few upgrades. His customer service is top notch! I would check him out and give him a call; he's really good to talk to and will steer you in the right direction.

I'll be receiving mine soon and I'll let you know how it runs.
