Anyone have any luck with the new overflow aquairums that all glass put out. Or has anyone tried the new sump filter they offer. Is there anywhere cheeper to buy the both of these.

My 180 has the Megaflows. They work just fine. I'm undecided as to whether the fact that the overflows are not in the corners is a plus or a minus. If I had my druthers, I would rather have a tank with a continuous across-the-back external overflow, like those made by Ocean Image Aquariums. With those, the overflow is completely hidden.

My 75 has a single mega flow. It's just fine. I've had no problems or complaints. I liked that the durso drain comes with a screen, too.

Have the "twinflow" not the megaflow (same principle) in an oceanic 92 corner. Based on high water volume- had to enlarge the slits (openings) on the top to allow more water to pass through as not to raise the level of water in the tank. (states that they can handle 600gph true flow)

Also the sump that you are questioning is the original Oceanic sump system- have one on my 175 bow and would not ever consider anything else in a large tank.

Sump for 92 corner was custom based on lack of space (Oceanic sump would not fit effectively)

Both- overflow and sump are excellent based on my experience.

i have an allglass 90 gal with an overflow and in my opinion its just ok. im with dougc on the fact that the overflow takes up too much room on the back wall of the tank. i wish it could be on the outside somehow. if i could do it over and had to get an all glass, i would go with the overflow in the corner.

I have an all glass 75 gallon w. a Megaflow overflow plus I have one of their Model 2 Megaflow sumps with a Mag9 return pump. I love it. If I were to have one complaint it would be the positioning of the overflow, I wished it would have been on either end except 1/3 of the way in from one end.
