Wavemaker Powerhead???
Hello, I want to know if it is beneficial to add a rotating powerhead to my 55 gal tank? I do not have live coral but I am planning to add some live rock. Any advice would be appreciated, Thanks.

DO you mean one of the "sweeps" that break in about 15 seconds, or one of the Hydor Rotating fittings that go on the end of an existing powerhead?

The powersweep brand are not all that great. However a couple of good powerheads would be beneficial, such as a few Maxi-Jet 1200's.

Flow is good whether or not you have coral.

I am not a fan of those ZooMed powersweeps, but I have had good luck with the Hydor Flo devices.
