refuge micro bubbles

Well, I dont know if its a bad idea but I thought Id share just in case there are some out there that are haveing the same problem I was haveing. I couldnt get the bubbles to quit going into the display from the fuge. A sock got rid of all my bubbles. I cut the entire foot off an old sock and used the ankle part and slipped the return pump into the sock and threw it back in the fuge. Works great, absolutely no more bubbles and best of all.........its free

Just a question, But isn't that blocking most of what you are trying to get from you fuge to tank. Same as post filtering a fuge ???

Its just a sock.....if toe jam can get in, then the bugs can get out

I think tray262 is right. I think you are preventing some things from making it out of your refugium and into the display with the sock.

well its a less expensive fuge, so the design is less than par. What it really needs are some baffles but I was looking for something easier. Next weekend Ill more than likely add 2 more baffles.
