A lot of manufacturers are moving able from heavy plate glass towards thinner, lighter tempered glass.
Does anyone else have a similar tank? I found one yesterday for my new reef, now that I,m done moving. Glass looks kind of skimpy, compared with all my 1/2in. glass tanks. But it looks well built.
Worried about going bare, even though the bottom is tempered.

Thanks Steven. I dont think my sides are tempered. I placed some good sized bottom pieces of rock yeterday, to get a feel. Gave me the "heebie Jeebies".![]()
Checking out a place today that sells a star board version. Problem is, who knows if its reef safe or not. Has no anti-bacterial properties but,![]()
I would just add a small layer of sand but my Tunze will blow the crap out of it.

I've got a 75 gal AGA megaflow... it's held up just fine for the last year... any specific questions?

Hmmm... now that the tank is full, I could convert the pool to saltwater...

Thanks. Not to many ......yet. I was just worried about the thinner glass. I just used my best Fiji in the tank. The rest is relegated to the sump, including some of the old Florida rock I,ve had since 1990 or so. Just to heavy. I figured to keep the rock weight to a minimum in the new tank.Originally Posted by BubbaWPB
Mega-flow is working just fine. Good design, albeit a little limited in capacity. But guess I,m use to twin 1.25in. overflows.Currently only running an old Hagen 800ph as a return. Works fine. Perhaps will switch to a Mag5 or something. Dont need the current, as I have one of my 6080 streams running so far.
