    Mag 24 Problem

Recently we've had a bunch of bad storms and the power has come on and gone off quite often in the last few days. My mag pump that I use for a return is now acting up. The piece with the magnets on it that spins ...the impeller i guess....is getting stuck....still vibrating just not spinning...then when I kick start it with a screwdriver or something it spins for a little bit sort of off balance is the way I'd describe it cause it just rattles around in there making noise/still pushing water though then it'll stop once more. Any ideas what might have happened?

I have taken it apart and cleaned it since it started doing this and that didn't help at all.

Take it apart and see if it's in one piece or two, There should be a little rubber/plastic cap holding it together. Also look inside of it for debrie. Also look at the magenets to make sure they are not btoken. It could have just sucked up a piece of sand and got stuck or it sounds more like the rod is broken. Either way it's not too bad to fix. IF you can find the parts at the LFS.

    Good luck.

I think getting a new impellar will solve your problem.
