qt???

I am setting up a qt to treat for ick. I am going to use coppersafe. I am wanting to put some limestone in for hiding. Is this okay? I was also thinking about putting my protien skimmer on the qt. It is a hob pro prizm. Does acrylic absorb the copper? Will this make it unsafe to put the skimmer back on the main when I am done?

Thanks,
Tinia

Limestone will absorb and render ineffective the copper treatment. Just use inert materials like PVC pipe segments for hiding spots.

You can reuse the skimmer on your display after rinsing it will, but a skimmer is really not necessary on a quarantine tank because of the short period of time anything will be in there.

I have a ten gallon with a little, a really little aqua clear mech filter on it. It seems to work fine and very cheap to run.
