Hey John!

I am not sure if one unit is realy all that much better than any other. Many of the cartridges are interchangable. I use an Oceanus RO/DI system and installed a TDS meter on the input to the DI as well as the output. That allows me to note changes in the membrane and when the DI is full. I believe a good thing to do is run 2 DI cartridges back to back in order to get the full use from the cartridge.

Oh, the cost of the unit was $200 and the TDS meter sells for about $40... I also added an auto cut off ($15) to keep the unit from producing waste water when my float switch in the tank is off....

Would you explain this a little more so I have an understanding of what exactly you are telling me?

BTW, I found a supplier of the in-line TDS that normally sells for $40, for only $25 including shipping.
