well its here.!!! my toms mini rapids c80 made it today ..first off the hoses are total crap..!! i would advise against even useing them at all.!! go to home depot and get some clear vinyl 1/2 o.d.x 3/8 i.d. tubbing..you will also either have to "mod" the U tubes or get some others ..i just filled mine with a rough then fine emery board until the vinyl hosses would fit onto the U tubes..being that tom made one connector a different size..the canister uses a 3/8 inner diameter connection and the "U" tubes use a 5/8 connection ..LAME.!! also NO shut off valves ..so if you want those its a trip to home depot there like $7 bucks each .and they will also have to be moded to fit the 3/8 connections..when i get mine finished i will add some pics of everytrhing...ok now on to the unit ..SWEEET looking ..but slow to prime ..not the baddest can filter out there ..it works pretty good but the output is lacking ..i have a whisper 5-15 back filter and they are about the same with the tip going to the whisper ..but the ceramic filter works good it has dramaticly improved the water quality so far in my odyssea b9 ..so what i have to say about the c80 so far is.. stand alone filter on a 20 gal. NOT A CHANCE ..but if you like to run 2 different types of filters and you can get one cheap go for it..pics coming soon
