    Question quiet pumps

I'm getting ready to buy a new pump for my new skimmer. I have never used external pumps before. I'm deciding between the GenX PCX55 and Blue line 55. I want the most quiet running pump I can find. Are these quiet pumps.
Thanks in advance for any info.

My Iwaki 70 is quite loud, I'll bet the BlueLine will also be loud since they are designed by the same engineer.

    My MAG pumps were silent.

I have to say, I have been very impressed with how quiet the GRI pumps are.

Thanks, Steven! Now that Coralife has its TurboSea line of external pumps, are you gonna add them to the review?

It seems that most of the LFSs carry Coralife (for pumps and other things) to avoid high-cost items collecting dust on the shelf...

Hmmm... now that the tank is full, I could convert the pool to saltwater...

I only review products I have actually used and only after I have used numerous ones. I have not used that many Coralife products. I am most interested in trying one of their skimmers, as they seem rather popular now. But, have not gotten around to buying one yet.

I've used both the GenX and BlueLine and like them both. I currently have 3 of the Bluelines on my tank and am pleased with the performance and durability. They are all in a separate room, so it's hard to judge noise, but I think they are pretty quiet.
