Basic marine tank help

Hello! I'm new to this forum and marine aquariums. I have been doing mixed large cichlid tanks for 15 years but I'm looking for something new. So I have started my 240g Piranha tank and I am looking to start a 29 gallon salt tank into a beginner tank. I have been researching allot but I'm not convinced that i should spend tons of money on a small tank. My question is what sort of tank should I start and what basic equipment do you recommend. Its a beginner tank but it will stay setup for a long time so i want it to look good but I'm not really looking to go crazy on it because i will be focusing alot of my time on my planted P tank.
