By the way - and in reference to the posts above re FLUSHING (as oppossed to sanitizing), your Buckeye Premium system came with a flush valve installed.

What if you do have a pressure tank (feeding a drinking water tap and ice maker)?

You'd probably just disconnect the lines from the tank & ice maker and what not and run a hose to a drain or sink from the housings....and procedd.

Like to hear BFS ideas as well as this will be the same ordeal I too have!

Start with a drained pressure tank. Then allow the hyperchlorinated water from the system fill the tank and follow the rest of the directions as noted above. Make sure you allow the hyperchlorinated water that filled the tank to work its magic inside the tubing going from the tank to the faucet, and within the faucet itself. Don't forget to remove the inline GAC between the tank and the faucet ahead of time.

Russ @ BFS
GAC is the carbon filter that "polishes" the drinking water?

GAC - Granular Activated Carbon

Most systems have a in-line GAC stage between the tank and the faucet. Its purpose is to remove the taste imparted to the water by the bladder inside the tank.
