It could be that your top is not tight and leaking air. You also may have air being injected into the reactor via the supply pump.... Try checking those first...
Any ever encountered this problem? My Ca Reactor worked fine for the first month or so, but now within 5-6 hours the chamber fills with air (or C02). Here's how I have it set up:
* Fresh water is supplied by a small "t" in the sump return line. Seems to be plenty of flow.
* Outlet line is controlled with a small 1/4 in ball valve. About 3 drops/ second.
* Co2 inlet is about 1 bubble/ second.
* Calcium media used is large CRM by pacific coast imports.
* Reactor is a Knop-C.

Over time science has shown that the simplest answers are usually the correct ones.......
try feeding the reactor with a powerhead rather then teeing off from the return..A MJ 1200 has always worked real well for me. I like to run my effluent pretty fast..more of a stream rather then a drip...See if the powehead works and adjust from there...
Turn off the CO2 and see if it still fills with air.
