    Heaters

Who's making the best heaters for aquariums right now? I've been looking around at them and think that I want a titanium one. Anyone have any opinions on what I should put on my christmas wish list?

Are you putting them in you sump or in the tank ? I hear that the titanium one are really nice unless you are going to be putting it in the tank, Then will burn a fish if touch from what I hear.

Ebo Jagr, Visitherm, and the newer Shatterproof Hydor heaters have all worked well for me in the past. I really like the Hydor, before I added the basment sump, a 200W kept my 90 and 30 gallon sump at a pretty constant 78-79. With the added water volume at a lower ambient tempature I added a second heater, a 300W Visitherm. Both are controlled by the temp controller built into my chiller. Now with 500W of heating power I am back to the constant 78-79 again....

It will go in the sump. I'll research those brands and check ebay for some deals. I've used the hydors before but had them burn out fairly quick. I've been wanting a titanium one but always keep Ebo in the back of my mind. Do any of you use a heater with a built in digital controller?
