Hello Reefland!
Hey everyone. Had a freshwater planted tank for a couple years but had to break it down when I moved a few months ago. Now Im thinking about going saltwater. Since its empty I wanna add a sump. The container is going to be a regular 10 gallon glass tank. The main tank is a 29 gallon 30"lx16"hx10". My questions are what size holes will I need to drill (I want to put the overflow box in the middle in back), where do I place the baffles in the sump(any plans would be much appreciated), is the sump large enough for a small refugium, what will I need to plumb this thing(any parts lists would help alot), and what skimmer and pump would you recommend ? Any help would be much appreciated!

WELCOME TO REEFLAND!
Saltwater aquariums are exciting and a challenge. The answers to your questions somewhat depends upon what kind of marine life you want to keep. There are two basic systems: fish or reef, with variations on both. To get an idea of what it all entails, I suggest you read this post: Setting Up a FOWLR Aquarium It would be a real good idea to get a book or two to give you some different ideas on how to put a system together. There are multiple answers to your questions and even though aquarists favor one over another, you should be made aware of all the possibilities before settling upon one. Here is a good book list to begin with: Marine Aquarium Books & Reading Good luck! Holidays
