Euro reef protein skimmer
I have a 180 reef tank, with sump and refugium underneath. My old euroreef pump has died, but instead of getting a new pump, I've decided to get a new setup, since the old one was for a 100 gal tank. I'm looking at the Euro Reef RC250. I am surprised at how expensive it is, but I was happy with the old one. I've been reading at what has been written, and I agree it doesn't pay to skimp. Having said that though, I wonder if the items that have been mentioned before are just as good? I'm also puzzled why no one is mentioning Euro Reef. I checked online and the Octopus is only about $200 cheeper, but also needs a feeder pump? Am I wrong to feel that I need to stick with the expensive Euro Reef?

Hi mls,
![]() HAve you looked at ASM? They are ER clones, and are much cheaper. I like my MRC skimmer a lot, but I can't argue the effectiveness of the ASM/ER. |
