Oceanic sumps
Anybody have any experience with the Oceanic reef ready sumps? I had one waiting on me this weekend (gift from a friend) after I got back from visiting my family. I can't seem to find a whole lot of information on it but since I am in the process of setting up my new 90 gallon tank I want to use it on that and totally ditch my wet/dry. It even has the optional wet/dry module in it and I will just put live rock in that.

Have used two for over 10 years one on my 175 bowfront and one on a 90 corner. Filtration is accomplished by using overflow sponges, bio balls in the "wet - dry" chamber and the rectangular sponge in the sump that filters the sump water prior to pumping. (Also have skimmer set on input side)
I personally like the oceanic sump system and have not heard of any problems with them from others. Best of luck |
