Hydor Koralia series turbo aquarium pumps

I need a new powerhead and was thinking of a Nanostream 6045 or a 6025 cause my tank is only 46 gal. Then I saw these things

I haven't had any experience with them, but they look like something I'd like to try. For $28 it's hard to come up with a reason not to try them. Single digit watt usage and small size sounds great.

I bought A number 2.It should be here in a week. I know it wont be as good as a nanostream, but then again I have never had one to compare difference in quality and performance.

Re: Anyone tried those Hydor Koralia, fake Nanosteam looking pumps?

I purchased a #3 and #4. They are in a tank with (2) Tunze nanostreams 6025's. I can tell a big difference in flow between them and I like the Hydor output much better. The magnets are not as strong and I prefer that. Putting the nanostreams on actually made me a little nervous with my glass. The Hydor's are larger but the #3 and #4 are rated for much more flow. For the price, both together were only slightly more than one nanostream. Of course, longetivity is to be determined on the Hydors.
