SK200 Via Aqua Skimmer Help!

I've had this skimmer running for 3-4 days now and i'm not getting any skimmate. Does anyone have any experience with this skimmer? I did alot of research on it and its suppose to be a monster for its size. I'm not sure what kind of break in period it needs and how its supose to be tuend. If anyone is running it please respond.

3 to 4 days may not be a long enough break in period. If you read the Edcuational articles on the Home page, there is one that specifically deals with this topic. I think they suggest a possible 2 week period. Good luck.

Do you have anything in your tank? How is your bio load?

I have been using that skimmer for years. Try to wash the collection cup with some hot water with a little soap.

I have mine set with max air. then leave it and only adjust the water level control. Raise by a 1/4" at a time until skimmimg starts.

Thanks for the reply coral....its been pulling 2-3 cups of dark skimmate in a low bioload tank for a few weeks now.....i just hated waiting that first two weeks of break in! What a good skimmer for the price!
