Trouble Finding a cube tank

Im looking to buy a cube tank. Ive searched the internet and have had problems finding one i want. Im looking for a tank of about 60 gal (id go between 50 an 65 i guess) in a cube format.

Ive only found one website that offered this product (glasscages.com) and there price is a bit out of my budget. Plus id have to wait some weeks before they visited my town again.

Anyone know of a good website or store that may sell what im looking for at a price under 200 dollars?

You will have to go with a custom builder for this tank size. There are a few out there, you might try a search for aquarium manufacturers.

Guess that means my dream of getting this tank for 100 dollars is out of the question hunh?

Yeah I would definitely think so. Have you checked out All-Glass Aquariums website to look at their standard sized aquariums to see if anything catches your eye? There is nothing near a cube but these would be the most cost effective options.

I had a custom 10-gallon acrylic made by SeaClear, which is part of CASCO group, and am very happy with it (now if I could just find a mantis shrimp somewhere around here...). I ordered it through a local shop. I'd call around and see if someone is a business partner. Here's the link to the company.

Granted it's not a cube, but you'd still have the coolest tank in the city! The water flows over all four sides of the aquarium (tank itself) into an overflow channel that runs around the entire perimeter of the tank.

The tanks are incredibly beautiful. I saw one at the Rockford Frag Fest, and they are living art. They are also incredibly expensive, and I think we're working on a budget (aren't we all?) here...

The price listed is for tank, stand and sump, it's not that bad, considering that you are getting a very unique and awesome aquarium.

Right, but the aquarist who began this thread asked for a price under $200, and I believe in offering useful suggestions. Again, they are spectacular tanks. We're just working on a budget, here.

Those zero edge tanks are relay cool looking! but CSeaSee is right, WAY out of my price range.

unfortunately im on a budget. And although it would be really cool to get a kick ass tank like that, i think i might just have to go for a run of the mill standard sized tank. Its WAY cheaper.

One of the big reasons i want a square bottom tank is wall space. I don't have a lot of blank wall space, and a square take would take up less of it for its volume.

Any other suggestions on tanks that might take up less wall space?

A corner curved would look really cool, if you don't mind the distortion of curved glass. And it would fit great.

Have you thought about a hex? The All-Glass Hex is 27x24x28. you could get this tank and have it drilled for less than the 200 you want to spend. It's 24" wide so you can use a standard size fixture.

what does having it drilled mean?

Since you asked that question, it's probably not necessary. People have stock tanks drilled for an in tank overflow rather than having an overflow box. What do you want to keep in this tank?

Its pretty cheap to have a standard 2ft. sq. 60g cube built. I one in the early 90,s. All 1/2in. glass with no bracing. I also had a 70 cube. Although it was 30in. across and 2 by 2. Not really a cube but close. There is a thread someplace here about that particular tank, under my name.

really? about how much did you spend? one place quoted me at 200 bucks

I called a LFS and they said they had a 65 gallon cube tank for 150 bucks. Is this a good price?
