Ozone Reactor and Algae
What affect does Ozone have on algae in a reef tank? Ie, Diatom algae. Will it help eliminate algae?

I've been running ozone for over a year now and still get a ditom film on the glass, so I would say it doesn't really eliminate algal growth.
I think you should really read Dr.Holmes-Farley articles on ozone to make any conclusions on the benefit of ozone or otherwise. ozone will kill free floating algae and such, but DOes nothing agains diatom.
