    pump vibrating noise in sump

    How do you guys get rid of the pump noise that comes from submersable in sump return pumps?

    Hey Art,

    What kind of pump is it? You need to make sure the pump is not resting against the sides of the sump and place a small pad under the pump so it isn't sitting directly on the bottom either. Mag drives come with a little pad for this purpose.

    It's a sedra pump. It is not touching the sides and is suctioned to the bottom of the sump with the suction cups provided. I suppose I could put a piece of filter badding under it.

    You could try to place a think layer of filter floss under it as well.
