Sure it would be beneficial for your system, any sized refugium would be.
Hi there everyone,
I currently have a Berlin-style sump that I'd like to add a refugium to. I plan on running my H&S A150 protein skimmer externally to it, along with an external system pump (haven't decided on that one yet). I've been looking at refugiums online and I like the look of the EcoSystem Reefugium. There are two sizes: one is 36"L x 8"W x 8"H rated up to a 300-gal tank, and the other is 24"L x 8"W x 8"H, rated up to a 120-gal tank. My tank is a 150-gal high: 48"L x 24"W x 30"H. Do you think I could use the smaller 24"L refugium for my tank, even though it is rated for a 120-gal? With my other equipment I think the smaller one would fit better in the cabinet, since I have limited space in there. I'm even thinking of using a different sump that already incorporates a refugium--the one I have now wasn't that expensive. What do you guys think? Any ideas and advice would be much appreciated! Thanks!![]()
