90 gal proper filtration?
I am setting up a 90 gallon FOWLR tank and have read different things and been told different things about filtration. The tank came with an ehiem canister and an under gravel system. what would be the proper filtration for my tank set up. also if i am getting clown fish would anemone be able to be kept in a FOWLR tank. I am not interested right now with a reef setup. I want the fish. Thanks

Re: 90 gal proper filtration?
Hi Bentley!
Well setting up a FOWLR tank is just as it sounds. You can use a deep sand bed (greater than 3-4") of oolitic sand. Of course plenty of "live" rock to use a decoration as well as a biological filter. Add a really good protein skimmer to the mix and you should be good. You can always add a refugium to the system which will help add live food, help with nitrate reduction and assist with PH balance using an opposed photo period from the display tank. Hopefully that gives you some ideas and some questions. :-)
