more skimmer questions

Very new here to this site. Looks like you guys are very nice and helpful so I love for your opinions!
I recently upgraded my old 90 gal tank with canister filter to a predrilled tank with sump. The sump does not have much room (i will try to attach a pic of it) I am looking to buy a skimmer. Found a MRC skimmer MR-1 has a leak in the inlet and genx pump for $150.(genx needs impeller) Is this a good deal?
any ideas where to add a skimmer to this sump? I would do an external but i have my huge hamilton ballast next to it. any help would be appreciated. I have lots more in the sump and it looks a lot healthier now (that was the first day it was running)

you could put it in the right side compartment or you could get a prizm HOB and put it on the side.

You can use it remotely. Not that difficult and you won't have to disrupt the sand bed in your sump. If you have questions just ask.
