Can you not dial in your reactor?

Since I moved I've been having the hardest time dialing in my Ca reactor. It wasn't leaking water anywhere and I could get the drip rate set but not the bubble count. It would dial in at first, time and time again but over a few days would stop all together. I had to shut the entire system down except for the reactor so that I could hear but when I did so I found the problem. The tube that goes from the regulator to the bubble counter got frail. It has to go over a little nipple at the regulator end and it had developed a small crack that I could hear leaking air with complete silence in the room. I replaced the tube and was able to immediately dial it in again. After a week the bubble count has remained steady and the problem is fixed. I figured someone else might have this problem at some point and hope this helps em out.

    Hey Chuck,

Are you using a "CO2 Proof" tubing?

I think typical tubing will degrade and crack over time.

Actually yes I am. I got it from Andy at MRC but it was about 3 years ago. The tube could have gotten twerked or something in the move and this may have caused it. At any rate it's working now.

Good deal. Could be another helpful piece of information for someone who is having problems.

I had the same problems a year of so back with not being able to control the count. I changed my tubing, bubble counter, found out it was the regulator. The uv tubing is great

Thanx Chuck for the heads up. For those of us that don't have a reactor yet, but are planning on one in the future, this is good advice.
