    Anybody use phosban reactors?

I have been thinking of getting a phosban reactor. I was just wondering if anybody here has used them and if you thing they are worth buying.

Ive used one since they first came out. It wont be going on my new system. The new gfo's are getting better and better and will work almost as well just being in filter bag tossed in the sump.

    Re: Anybody use phosban reactors?

I use two, one with Phosban and one with Purigen. I have them plumbed into one of my return lines so I do not have to put two more pumps on the system.

You can see the bracket I made on the last pic, that is where the small sock filter goes. It has a white plastic ring around it to hold it in place. The filter keeps any particles from the reactors from entering the system.

It is laying out in the sun as today was clean the Skimmer, Pumps, Sock Filters, ect......

A single tee supplies tank water to the reactors. I also put pipe insulation over the hoses to keep algae from growing in them. The last pic was taken a few minutes ago. I still need to put the last of the insulation over the return lines.

    Left Phosban - Right Purigen

I put valves in place to not only shut them down for cleaning, but to control the flow going into them. Just enough to turn over the media but not cause it all to flow out.
