Comments on a Red Sea Prizm Pro 300 Skimmer

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with one of these Red Sea Prizm Pro 300 Skimmers?

I see lots of people here that don't like the smaller Prizm for tanks >100 gallons but no mention on the Pro series for larger tanks.

I'm asking because I need a HOB for my tank, space is a big issue and this Pro 300 will fit nicely under the counter.

They sell new from $180 - $275 depending where you look, and I can get one on ebay for around $90 - $100.

    any comments?

this link below will take you to pics of my tank.

my new project...what do you think?

I don't think the Prism would be a good choice for a tank with any size to it. What kind of space do you have to work with? Have you looked into an AquaC HOT?

Re: Comments on a Red Sea Prizm Pro 300 Skimmer

I actually lost out on a bid last night for an AquaC H.O.T. My last manual bid was $85 and I set my proxy bid to $165 thinking I'd be good to go, then went to bed. Bid closed at $180

Well, I ended up picking up a the Prizm Pro 300 today. "BUY IT NOW" from ebay was $82 + $15 to ship. I'll try it out, if it's no good I'll just spring for a new AquaC.

Hey, since I have your attention… How do I make room for more pics. My max limit is just about full. Do I need to delete photos from previous posts?

    Thanks Scott!
