Anyone know of a good easy to set timer (digital?) to turn on a powerhead for a short period of time to stir kalk?

I bought mine at Home Depot, Timex I think. I run it for 10 minutes every 12 hours, works like a charm!

I wonder what brand of timer runs my reactor. It's features are nice.

the cheapo HD timers work great...I've even used the ones that have the green and red tabs..Its been suggested that you could do with out mixing and see the same results. Try it some time.

Without mixing the kalk and just adding a new spoonful each day?

Scott, are you using some kind of reactor? if so grab a cup of your normal saturated top off water and test the ph...then try not mixing for a few days and test, you might be supprised, then again you might not

Yours is nice, I like the built in timers. The problem with plug in timers is the resolution is in 1 minute intervals. Most kalk stirrers or even 5 gallon buckets only need to be stirred for 10 seconds or so. You only need to cloud the bottom half of the chamber be it a reactor or a bucket.

I have it set to stir for 15 seconds every 4 hours.
