While at lunch I stopped at a local pet store to look around. They usually only have 55 or smaller tanks, but I asked if they could get larger ones and they said yes. I asked what the price of a 75 would be and to my amazement, they were on sell and the price was $90 for All-Glass. I had been waiting to get my tank until later as I really didn't need it until I had all the other stuff to put it together, but for $90, I had to go ahead and whip out the debit card. I pick it up next Thursday. Of course that only fuels my fire to get some of the DIY stuff and the purchases done sooner.

Oh and did I mention the wife will probably kill me?

No, it is just the tank. I wanted to put my own holes in it and I hate the overflow boxes that go from the top to the bottom. I want as little in the tank as possible. Leave more room for the interesting stuff.;)

Just tell her that it is a hobby that makes you happy and that you got a great deal and couldn't pass it up. Tell her it will be a great addition to the house....

If that doesn't work, tell her its your money, you wanted, so you bought it.

I think that'll work for ya. Oh, and don't forget to put some salt water in it, swish it around, dump the salt water and let it dry...this way it looks used.
