Skimmer
Anyone have any exp with the cpr bak-pak2r skimmer I am looking to get a skimmer for my 29 gallon tank but am not really to sure about whats a good one. Someone told me cpr makes pretty good ones so if anyone has some good info or horror stories let me know thanks

I personally have not used them b4 but from what I have heard from other experienced aquarist is that they are nice skimmers. They run off of a maxijet powerhead if memory serves me correctly and the MJ are pretty dependable, and easy to come by. Have you tried a search on the board on bak paks?

Well I dont own a cpr bak pak so I cant comment on their performance but I do own several other cpr products. In my opinion cpr produces a medeocre product. Typicaly thier construction is solid but the fuctionality of their products is lacking. To me this shows either an over all lack of knowledge or intiative and this usually results in a less that top notch product.
Personally I would recommend one of the AquaC skimmers like the remora. FWIW Matt |
