Question ASM Mini-G Protein skimmer

ASM Mini-G Protein skimmer

Does anyone know if this skimmer would be large enough for 85 gallon system? I have read that they are very good skimmers. I do not have alot of room and my funds are running out. The skimmer I am using now is 12 years old and just isnt getting it done.

Re: ASM Mini-G Protein skimmer

from my experience, they are excellent plug and play skimmers. My G2 has been running great with no problems for over 3 years.

It says a Mini will go up to 80g, so you would be pushing it for skimming properly. If it would fit I would go with the G-1X HERE or type it in Google and start shopping.

It is rated for 100g tanks.

When considering skimmers I generally cut the factory rating in half.

I am going to go with the Octopus NW-200. It seems to be a good choice.
I think it will be plenty for my 75 gallon set up.

Thank You for the info!
