Filter
I got 30 more pounds of rock so i have 100 pounds of rock and a 3 inch sand bed in my 80 gallon tank. Is my sand bed to shallow or will it be deep enough to filter my tank?
Thanks, Blue

A sand bed ideally should be at leat 4 inches deep. 6" is suppose to function much better.

As Steve said it is suggested a min of 4" of ollite sand ,sugar sized, sand, to have a good effecitve bed so if possible try adding another inch if not see how it goes with 3".
