powerheads

I am currently setting up a 75 gallon 48x18x20 to be a reef tank. I am wondering what type and how many powerheads would you guys suggest. I am currently running some mj 900 in my smaller tank but I would like to try something differant that gives a better flow pattern.

Re: powerheads

Will you have a return pump as well?

I have a few 75 gallons in operation. The two that are mine have mag 18 return pumps. One of them has 3 MJ 1200's in it and 2 Koralia 4s. The other has 2 MJ 1200's.

If you want differing flow patterns you may consider a wavemaker and powerheads or a tunze controller/powerhead combo.

I have a 75 gallon with an old dolphin on the return, Im not near the tank now and I dont remember the model. Inside Ive got 4 Tunze Nano 6025's.
I keep a mix of sps, lps, zoo's and the like.
