Return Pump
Hi, how can I tell how powerfull of a return pump I am going to need? I picked up a second hand 125 gallon tank with a built in overflow but dont want to overwhelm the drain. The drain hole is about 1.5 inches and plumbed with a bulkhead fitting that i can put a 3/4 inch pipe into.

Re: Return Pump
Can you change the bulkhead to a 1" bulkhead?

Re: Return Pump
I run a mag 7 wide open on my 125 reef ready. It has a 1" standpipe in it. If you go with a more powerful return pump, you can always use union ball valve, and throttle it back. But I run this mag 7 wide open. I should have probably went with a mag 9.5 but this one works.
