You Gotta Love IT!!
Now dig me out
One of my MJ1600 PH's w/the SureFlo mod has started to act up....both of them I got the magnet kit for them and they broke on me! the swivel ball is what broke. I just super glued the powerheads directly to the magnets....if I would have known this then I would have just bought some good magnets in the first placei think they where about the same price but they arent as strong a magnet as I would like. But that is not my main problem, my main problem is that one of the MJ's locked up....I thought to myself its just calcification?! So I took it apart and cleaned it real well, then had to tap it a couple of times under water to get it to engage....now it works but it sticks when it first fires up....I must also note that I have 2 of these on a wavestrip one is working fine....luck of the draw I guess.

Hi
i just got a mj 900 today with the sureflow and it runs great. Mines came with the small propeller stuck with the rod. The large didn't have the rod. How do I take the small propeller off the rod to fit the big propeller? on another mj 1200 i have.
thanks
thank you OIIIIO, I was a little confuse with the different rods.
It seem like the 900 with the small propeller works quiet and not vibrating. But the 1200 with the big propeller is vibrating and a vibrating sound. but the 2100 flow for 55 dollars is quite a deal.
Did after a week the vibration sound quiet down for you?
Thank you
yes, it is a bit louder. Some of mine were louder than others and I'm pretty sure it's because they were on a timer. They don't like to start and stop a lot unless it's a soft start timer. May have loosened them up, I don't know. They all did quiet down after a few days, but still audible. I've since replaced all 5 of them with a single vortech though. I only use them for mixing saltwater for water changes. Amazing how fast it is to mix up 40 gallons with 3 or 4 of those things in the rubbermaid pointing straight down! I may add one or two back to the tank aimed straight down to churn up the bottom so the detrius doesn't settle and can make it into the sump.
Did you get the magnetic mounts too? If not, they are well worth the extra investment and might help with the noise.
yes, i did use the get the magnetic mounts. Good to hear the sound will lower. But like you say I can always use it to point down to mix the debris probably shut it down after it is done. Also great for mixing salt.
Thanks
