pH help

Hi guys
As some of you know I am new to saltwater I did a pH test this morning after a water change on thursday and the test reads 7.8 which has gone down why is this and what do i need to do?
here is a pic of my small tank

Looks like you have no surface tension. From what I understood surface tension helped in the aspect of the PH levels. How it affects the PH I'm not real clear about though.
