Zinc Fitting?

I was looking for a Y Adapter yesterday and found one at BFS to go on my washing machine line for my RO/DI unit. Will the Zinc fitting hurt or should i find another one to use and send that one back when i get it.

I just used a saddle valve. They are SUPER easy to put in, and cheap too. However, I think you will be fine with the fitting you chose as long as it is BEFORE the RO and not after it... (I can't imagine why it would be anywhere but before...)
